Tile & Flooring questions, answered.
Can you replace just one cracked tile?
Usually, yes. We cut out the cracked tile without damaging the ones around it and set a new one. The hard part is finding a match, so if you have spare tiles from the original job, keep them for us.
Do you remove the old floor?
Yes. We tear out the old tile or flooring and check the subfloor (the layer under the floor) before anything new goes down.
Is luxury vinyl plank (LVP) a good choice for a Florida home?
For many homes, yes. Vinyl plank handles humidity and spills well and feels softer underfoot than tile. Sometimes it can go over the old floor, sometimes the old floor has to come out. We tell you which one fits your floor. Tile still lasts longer in wet areas like showers.
Will I feel edges between the tiles?
Not on large tiles. We use leveling clips (small spacers) that hold the tile edges flush while the thinset (the glue under the tile) sets.
I'm not in Florida right now. Can you still do the work?
Yes. You don't need to be home. Leave us a key, and we send you photos of the work before and after, so you can see it from wherever you are.
